Link: 5 blog awards and stitching news
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well, it has been a while since my last post as I have been quite busy lately. I was very pleased to receive five blog awards, thankyou so much ladies I really appreciate them.
and this one from
These are the rules:
- Accept the award.
- Thank the person who gave you the award.
- Add a link to the person who gave you the award.
- Paste the award on your blog.
- Write ten things about yourself that others might not know.
- Pass the award on to ten other people.
Ten things you may not know about me.
- I am 50 this Friday! Aghhhhh!
- It is our 26th wedding anniversay this Wednesday. (31st March)
- I used to eat chocolate and bread quite regularly, when I was younger it never made any difference to my weight, now it does so I don't eat them very often, however, I have the occasional treat on a Sunday evening.
- I prefer winter and spring because summer triggers my hayfever and I hate it!
- I am impatient, I want everything done yesterday!
- I have a law degree and a Masters degree in employment law, I never tire of reading my law books and keeping upto date on the subject.
- I graduated with my law degree when I was 40 - its never too late!
- I love reading about Queen Victoria.
- I love watching period dramas.
- I am really scared of wasps and bees.
I am now going to pass these awards on to everyone because I think everyone deserves them, and the other reason for not choosing ten blogs is basically I have not time to do it as I am going away tomorrow for a couple of days!
Stitching News
Jane sent me this lovely mail art gift to me, it was a total surprise!
It was full of these lovely threads and a threadwinder, thankyou Jane I shall treasure this! I have started stitching this Country Cottage Needlework design that my son bought me for Mothers Day. Here are some close up pictures.
I have just one more photo to show of a biscornu that my friend Connie has made, but I will show that in my next post.
I am going away for a couple of days to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday, I am quite looking forward to the celebrations, we are going to one of my favourite parts of the country - Bath. We are having lunch at the Pump Rooms in Bath where Jane Austen used to visit quite regularly, I will update you on my return, and hopefully I will have some nice photographs to show you all.
Happy stitching everyone!
